Welcome to the Highlands & Islands Scouts website, which will give you a flavour of some of the activities that take place across our Region. We support Scout Groups across Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strapthspey, Ross & Cromarty, Skye & Lochalsh, Lochaber, Sutherland, Caithness, Orkney and the Western Isles.

Before you start take a look around the front page and familiarise yourself with what is available. Customize the front page to suit yourself and your computer by adjusting the text size using the buttons on the top right hand corner. Then sit back and do what they call surfing. There is lots of information here, but if you can't find what you're looking for drop the webteam an email via the Contact Us page.

 
Scouts get more Local PDF Print E-mail

In the modern day where everything seems to be getting upgraded or replaced, Scouting is becoming more popular than ever. The number of scouts and adults involved in Scottish scouting has constantly been increasing for the last six years. The Scout Association’s annual census shows that although the organisation is over 100 years old, it shows no signs of dying out any time soon with the number of Scouts in the rural Highlands and Islands increasing 3.5% and more remarkably, new groups being set up.

Scout Leader's Inspiration Sporting Story PDF Print E-mail

2nd Thurso Assistant Cub Scout Leader , Jason Ridgley (18) last week competed at the British Gas Swimming Championships (Olympic and Paralympic Trials) at the Aquatic Centre in London.

This was an amazing achievement considering that in September 2009 Jason had major spinal surgery which left him permanently with two steel rods the length of his spine in his back.
